01About Us
Grace Calvary Ministries is a registered Christian charitable organisation in Kenya (Registration No. DSD/37/209/02/78832) that cares for orphaned and vulnerable children in Isukha North, Kakamega County, Kenya. Through discipleship, child sponsorship, education support, feeding and healthcare, and our AmoraRise Initiative, we work to give every child a safe home and a hopeful future.
In these Terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Grace Calvary Ministries. "You" means anyone who visits this website or makes a donation through it.
02Acceptance of These Terms
By accessing this website or making a donation, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms, together with our Privacy & Security Policy and Refund Policy, which form part of these Terms.
If you do not agree, please do not use the website or donate through it.
03Using This Website
You may use this website to learn about our work, contact us and make donations. When using it, you agree not to:
- use the website for any unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purpose;
- make a donation using a card or account you are not authorised to use;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, its server or any connected system;
- introduce viruses, malicious code or anything designed to disrupt the website;
- copy, download or share photographs or stories of the children in our care for any purpose other than personal viewing (see section 12).
We may suspend or restrict access to the website at any time, for example for maintenance or security reasons.
04Donations
- Voluntary gifts. All donations are voluntary. A donation is a gift and does not entitle you to goods, services or any other benefit in return, unless we clearly say otherwise.
- Currency. Online card donations are processed in Kenyan Shillings (KES). If your card is in another currency, your bank converts the amount at its own exchange rate and may charge a foreign transaction fee. We do not control these rates or fees.
- Choosing a cause. Where you choose a specific cause (for example Education, Medical Care, or Food & Shelter), we will use your gift for that purpose. If a cause becomes fully funded or can no longer be carried out, we will use your gift where the need is greatest among our programs for children.
- Accuracy. You are responsible for checking the amount before you confirm your donation.
- Our right to decline. We may decline or return any donation, for example where we suspect fraud, where the source of funds is unclear, or where accepting it would conflict with our values or the law.
05Payment Processing
Online card donations are processed by our acquiring bank, ABSA Bank Kenya, through the Visa CyberSource secure payment platform. When you click a donate button, you are taken to a secure ABSA / CyberSource payment page (ebc2.cybersource.com) to enter your card details.
- Your card details are entered on, and handled by, the payment provider's PCI-DSS compliant systems. We never receive or store your full card number or security code.
- Donations appear on your card or bank statement as GRACE CALVARY MINISTRIES.
- We accept the card types shown on our Donate page.
- If we offer other ways to give (such as M-PESA or bank transfer), those payments are also subject to the terms of the provider concerned.
Stay safe: Grace Calvary Ministries will never ask you to send your card number, security code or PIN by email, phone, SMS or social media. If anyone does so in our name, do not respond and contact us at admin@gracecalvaryministries.org.
06Monthly Giving and Child Sponsorship
You can support a child over time by giving every month. Monthly gifts help us plan school fees, meals and medical care with confidence.
- Sponsorship gifts support the sponsored child's needs and the wider care we provide to all children in our home, so that no child is left out.
- Where we share updates about a sponsored child, we do so in a way that protects the child's privacy and dignity.
- You may stop or change your monthly giving at any time. If a payment is set up to repeat automatically, email us at admin@gracecalvaryministries.org and we will cancel it before the next payment date wherever possible.
07Refunds and Payment Disputes
Because donations are voluntary gifts, they are generally non-refundable. However, we will refund donations made in error, duplicate payments and unauthorised transactions.
To request a refund, email admin@gracecalvaryministries.org within 14 days of your donation with your transaction reference. Full details are in our Refund Policy.
If you have a concern about a charge, please contact us first. We can usually resolve issues faster than a card dispute (chargeback).
08Receipts and Tax
After a successful card donation, you will receive a payment confirmation from the payment provider. If you need an official donation receipt or acknowledgement letter for your records, email us with your name, the date and amount of your donation and the transaction reference.
Grace Calvary Ministries is registered in Kenya. Whether your donation qualifies for any tax relief depends on the laws of your country. Please consult a tax adviser if this matters to you.
09Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to make a donation, or have the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian. By donating, you confirm that you are authorised to use the payment card or account you provide.
10Fraud Prevention
To protect donors and the ministry, we and our payment provider may carry out checks on transactions. We may cancel, refund or report any transaction we reasonably believe to be fraudulent, unauthorised or linked to unlawful activity, and we may share information with our bank, the payment provider or law enforcement where required.
11Items and Publications
From time to time, supporters of the ministry may offer items such as books, with proceeds supporting our work. A purchase of an item is a sale, not a donation, and may be subject to the seller's own terms. Where we sell an item directly, we will state the price, delivery details and any return terms at the point of sale.
12Children's Images and Stories
The photographs and stories on this website are shared with the consent of the children's parents or guardians, or of Grace Calvary Ministries as their caregiver, solely to tell the story of our work.
- You may not copy, download, reproduce, edit or share images or personal stories of children from this website, including on social media, without our written permission.
- We do not publish children's surnames, exact locations, health conditions or other sensitive details.
- If you have any concern about how a child is shown on our website, please contact us and we will review it promptly.

Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
17Indemnity
You agree to compensate Grace Calvary Ministries for any claims, losses or costs arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of this website, including the use of a payment card you were not authorised to use.
18Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Changes apply from the date they are published and do not affect donations already made.
19Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. If a dispute arises, we encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally. If it cannot be resolved, the courts of Kenya will have jurisdiction.
